Night Time Tea
Blended with herbs that are traditionally known for their sedative properties, chamomile, rose, ashwagandha, passionflower and lavender are all renowned to encourage a restful night's sleep
Rose (Rosa damascena) is restoring and calming, used for insomnia and mental fatigue, as a nervine it supports and nourishes the central nervous system and restores balance and restfulness in the body
Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata) acts as a non-addictive tranquiliser for chronic insomnia, it is a relaxant and sedative herb that nourishes the nerves
Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) is a tonic to the nervous system, it restores energy in tiredness and exhaustion, calms the mind and is a remedy for insomnia
Ashwagandha root (Withania somnifera) is an exceptional nerve tonic for exhaustion, it engenders calmness and relieves insomnia and nervous exhaustion, a sedative and tonic for the nervous system

German chamomile flowers (Matricaria recutita) are a cooling herb and it's relaxing properties enhance mood and calm anxiety and nervousness, as an antiseptic diuretic it soothes an irritable bladder
Lady's mantel (Alchemilla vulgaris) is an astringent to the reproductive system and anti-inflammatory for heavy, painful and irregular periods when peri-menopausal, toning to weak pelvic floor muscles and a cooling and balancing remedy
Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca) is a nervine and added to sooth anxiety, anger and irritability that can come with menopausal mood swings, helpful for headaches associated with the reproductive system and is cooling for hot flushes particularly if accompanied with palpitations, it has also traditionally been used to increase libido
Sage leaf (Salvia officinalis) is hormone balancing for irregular periods, beneficial for night sweats, insomnia and hot flushes. It's astringent tannins are helpful in reducing peri-menopausal flooding. With its antioxidant and rejuvenative properties it protects the nervous system from the aging process and acts as a brain tonic
Liquorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) has mild oestrogenic properties which are useful for all menopausal problems, it can help curb heavy bleeding and peri-menopausal flooding. It is also an adaptogenic strengthening tonic and helps improve resistance to physical and mental stress. As a reproductive tonic it is helpful for low libido and due to its natural sweet taste has been added to the blend to calm the taste of some of the more bitter herbs
